A Tabata workout is a high-intensity interval style class that originated in Japan. Each exercise is performed for 20 seconds, followed by a 10 second rest, repeated for a total of eight times (4 minutes). These workouts can be very intense, so you want to choose exercises that will challenge your students, but not totally destroy them.

I try to do an upper body, lower body, cardio, and abdominal exercise for each section of the workout. I also try to keep equipment to a minimum as you are switching up exercises frequently, it can waste a lot of time. Some sample exercises include: Tabata Workout
